Currently there are mainly three kinds of leveling control methods for eps foam beads expanding machine. One is time control, another is photoelectric control, the third method is vibration control type.
The first type is the most simple type, it is fixed in the program of the eps insulation foam expanding machine, when the steps reaches the required time, the next step will work. But because this type cannot connect with other parameters, the expanding tolerance is difficult to be controlled.
The second type is photoelectric type, the photoelectric switch is mounted in the window of the full automatic eps expander machine, when the expanded beads level reaches the certain height, the switch will work. This type has the shortcoming, it is easy to work by mistake because the raising of the beads is not so stable sometime.
The third type is vibration leveling sensor control. The vibration sensor is inserted in the vessel with a certain vibrating frequency, when the expanded beads reaches the sensor, the frequency will change, then the signal will be input the PLC for next step. Currently this method is the most accurate for beads density control.
